you tried a Mexican burger yet!? If you answered "I have" it wasn't as
good this!

Mexican Burger
1 pound ground pork
1/2 pound Mexican chorizo
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetable oil, for grill and frying
4 corn tortillas
1/4 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons chipotle in adobo sauce
1/2 lime, juiced
1 can refried beans, reheated
Queso Blanco, crumbled
Sliced avocado, to serve
Pickled jalapeno, to serve
Shredded lettuce, to serve
1.Preheat griddle brushed with a thin layer of oil to medium-high. Heat 1/4-inch vegetable oil in a pan with high sides to 360F.
2.Combine
pork, chorizo, salt and pepper. Form into 1/2-pound patties. Cook on
griddle about 5 minutes per side, or until medium.
3.Combine sour cream, chipotle in adobo, and lime juice in a bowl.
4.
Fry tortillas in hot oil on both sides until golden and crispy. Remove
to a sheet tray lined with a paper towel. Season with salt.
5.Spread a
layer of refried beans on one tortilla. Add burger, shredded lettuce,
sliced avocado, chipotle sour cream, pickled jalapenos, queso blanco,
and more chipotle sauce for heat. Top with another fried tortilla and
enjoy!
You don't have to go to your local diner to get this American classic. Recipe below.

4 tablespoons butter, room temperature, divided
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
2/3 pound ground chuck
2 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
4 slices American cheese
4 slices rye bread
6 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing
1.Preheat griddle to medium-high.
2.Melt
1 tablespoon butter on griddle. Add onions, toss to coat with the
butter, season with 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt and 1/2 teaspoon black
pepper and cook until caramelized.
3.Combine ground chuck with 2
teaspoons garlic salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper. Shape into 2
patties. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter on griddle and cook the patties in
the melted butter until well caramelized. When the patties are flipped,
top with caramelized onion and 2 slices of cheese each, cover with a
metal bowl and cook until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked
through, about 8 minutes total.
4.While the patties are
cooking, toast one side of the bread in 1 tablespoon melted butter.
Spread Thousand Island dressing on the untoasted side of the bread and
top with patty.
1.In the bowl of a food processor combine pork, water, salt and sugar and pulse until finely ground.
2.Form into 4 rectangle patties. Place on parchment, cover with plastic and freeze until solid.
3.Preheat
a griddle over medium high heat. Lightly coat with vegetable oil. Cook
frozen patties on the griddle, until browned on both sides and cooked
through, about 10 minutes. Baste with BBQ sauce on both sides. Serve on
bun, with extra BBQ sauce, onion and dill pickles.
Recipe below. For those of you who don't have a Chick-Fil-A in your
state, you don't have to miss out anymore! You can recreate this
classic sandwich from the comfort of your own kitchen.
1.Fill a cast-iron pan with 1/4-inch vegetable oil and heat to 350F.
2.Combine egg and milk in a shallow dish and whisk in 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
2.In
a shallow dish whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, paprika,
cayenne, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Dredge chicken
pieces in egg mixture and then dry ingredients. Fry in preheated oil,
5-7 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
3.In cast iron skillet, toast hamburger buns with butter. Serve chicken on toasted buns with dill pickle slices.
Now you can create this succulent fish sandwich, complete with tartar sauce, all without leaving your kitchen!

Filet-o-Fish
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet relish
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
4 frozen fish fillet patties, square shape if possible
4 soft hamburger buns
8 slices American cheese
1.Combine mayonnaise, sweet relish, dried onion, lemon juice, salt and sugar in bowl and reserve.
2.Cook fish fillets to package instructions.
3.Toast
bun in a pan, remove and immediately place 2 slices of cheese on the
bottom of the bun, allowing it to melt slightly. Top with a warm
fillet-o-fish and spread tartar sauce on top.

Lamb Tzatziki Burger
1 pound ground lamb
1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped, plus extra for garnish
4 teaspoons lemon zest, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 red onion, chopped
1/2 cup grated cucumber
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
Olive oil, for grill
2 pita pockets
1.Preheat griddle brushed with a thin layer of oil to medium-high.
2.Combine
ground lamb with 2 teaspoons oregano and mint, 2 cloves garlic, 3
teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon black pepper. Form into 1/2-pound patties.
Cook burgers 4 minutes per side.
3.While the burgers are cooking
combine Greek yogurt with remaining 2 teaspoons oregano and mint, lemon
zest and juice, garlic, red onion, grated cucumber, 1 teaspoon salt and
1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
4.Warm pitas on griddle and then cut in
half. When the burger is cooked remove to warmed pita pocket, top with
tzatziki sauce and torn mint.

Buffalo Turkey Burger with Blue Cheese Coleslaw
1 pound ground turkey thighs
Salt and pepper
Vegetable oil, for grill
6 tablespoons butter, melted
6 tablespoons hot sauce
4 cups cabbage slaw mix
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped chives
1/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 hamburger buns
1.Preheat griddle brushed with a thin layer of oil to medium-high.
2.Combine
the melted butter and hot sauce. Mix together 1/3 of the hot sauce
mixture with the ground turkey thighs. Season with salt and pepper and
form into 1/2-pound patties. Griddle burgers on both sides until
caramelized and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
3.Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, chives, blue cheese, salt and pepper and toss together with coleslaw mix.
4.When the burger is done coat both sides with the remaining hot sauce. Place on bun and top with blue cheese coleslaw.
1.Preheat griddle brushed with a thin layer of oil to medium-high.
2.Combine
ground beef, pork, veal, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, onion powder,
parsley, salt and pepper. Form into 3/4 pound patties.
3.Grill
patties for 3 minutes, flip, and top with 2 slices mozzarella each.
Cover burgers and cook another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and the
cheese is melted. Toast bun on the griddle. Place burger on bun, top
with warmed tomato sauce and basil leaves.

Shrimp Banh Mi Burger
1/4 cup vegetable oil
16 ounces peeled and deveined shrimp, tail removed
2 tablespoons Sriracha
2 tablespoons panko breadcrumbs, plus more if needed
1 tablespoon fish sauce
2 teaspoons grated ginger
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
3 scallions, sliced
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 lime, juiced
1/4 baguette, sliced open, per burger
Shredded carrot
Fresh mint
Fresh cilantro
1.Preheat non-stick pan with vegetable oil over medium heat.
2.In
a food processor, puree together shrimp, 1 tablespoon Sriracha, panko
breadcrumbs, fish sauce, grated ginger, rice vinegar, scallions, egg,
juice of 1/2 a lime, and salt. Form into small patties. Cook in
non-stick pan 4 minutes per side until just cooked through.
3.While
the patties cook combine mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce, and
juice from 1/2 a lime. Spread sauce all over the baguette.
4.Place 3 patties per baguette and top with carrot, mint and cilantro.

Black Bean Chili Burger
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 red onion, chopped
1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs, plus more if needed
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 egg
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for pan
1 whole-wheat hamburger bun
Shredded cheddar cheese
Sour cream
Minced red onion
Sliced scallion
Sliced tomato
Sliced pickles
1.Preheat a non-stick pan lightly coated with a thin layer of vegetable oil to medium-high.
2.Puree
black beans, red bell pepper, onion, breadcrumbs, chili powder, egg,
salt and pepper in a food processor until a smooth paste forms. Add more
breadcrumbs if needed for mixture to hold together. Shape into patties.
Cook patties 3 minutes per side or until a dark crust forms on each
side. Remove to bun and add your favorite toppings.
